リヤド・エア（Riyadh Air）はサウジアラビア第二の国営航空会社[5][6]。2025年第3四半期より運航を開始する予定である[7]。

2023年3月12日、サウジアラビアの皇太子であるムハンマド・ビン・サルマーンは、リヤドを拠点とする新たな航空会社となるリヤド・エアの設立を発表した[5][6]。同月14日にはボーイング787-9を確定39機、オプション33機の計72機を発注した[8][9]。

同年6月4日にはボーイング787-9に施された同社の塗装を初公開した[10]。さらに国際航空運送協会(IATA)から航空コードである「RX」が付与された[11]。同月13日には、サウジアラビア民間航空総局（英語版）(GACA)がリヤド・エアに定期旅客航空輸送経済ライセンスを付与した[12]。

2023年8月10日、初のスポーツスポンサーとして、スペインのサッカークラブであるアトレティコ・マドリードと契約を行った[13][14]。
同年11月14日、サウディアと提携を行う覚書を締結した。これがリヤド・エアにおける最初の航空会社との提携契約となる[15]。

2024年10月30日に、同社初のエアバス機であるエアバスA321neoを60機発注した[16][17]。
2025年1月には予備機及び訓練機用としてボーイング787-9を1機リースで導入し[18][19]、同社初の保有機となった。
