2012–2017: Early years

バンドはもともと2012年にダブリンのブラックロックにあるセント・アンドリュース・カレッジで結成され、2015年にインヘイラーという名前に決めました。ジェンキンソンはバンド名が決定した直後にバンドに加入しました。

2018–2022: It Won't Always Be Like This

グループは2017年にデビューシングル「I Want You」を自主リリースした。このシングルは2017年4月14日にリリースされたGarageland Volume 1に収録された。その後、2019年には「It Won't Always Be Like This」、「My Honest Face」、「Ice Cream Sundae」という3つのシングルが続いた。彼らはBBCの年次音楽投票「Sound of 2020」で5位にランクインした。 2020年1月21日、グループは4枚目のシングル「We Have to Move On」をリリースした。

2022–2024: Cuts & Bruises

バンドは2023年2月17日にセカンドアルバム『Cuts & Bruises』をリリースした。[1] このアルバムはイギリスのアルバムチャートで2位、アイルランドのアルバムチャートで1位を獲得した。

バンドはパール・ジャムの2023年のコンサートツアーでシカゴ、インディアナポリス、オースティンでの公演のオープニングアクトに選ばれた。2023年6月10日、バンドはスレイン城でハリー・スタイルズのラブ・オン・ツアー公演のオープニングアクトを務めた。 今年の初めにはアークティック・モンキーズのオープニングアクトとしてツアーに参加し、サム・フェンダーのセント・ジェームズ・パーク公演でもオープニングアクトを務めた。

2024年秋のアメリカツアーでライブデビューした後、バンドは2024年10月29日に曲「Your House」をリリースしました。曲のリリースに合わせて、バンドはキッド・ハープーンがプロデュースした3枚目のアルバム「Open Wide」を2025年2月にリリースすると発表した。2024年12月6日、バンドはアルバムからの2枚目のシングルとして「Open Wide」をリリースしました。[1]

Artistry

ヒューソンは、インヘイラーの作曲に影響を与えたバンドとして、ストーン・ローゼズ、ニュー・オーダー、ジョイ・ディヴィジョン、ハッピー・マンデーズ[1]、デペッシュ・モード[2]、エコー&ザ・バニーメン、トーキング・ヘッズ、オアシス[3]などの80年代と90年代のバンドを挙げている。特にジェンキンソンは、ブロック・パーティーのケレ・オケレケに触発されて、オルタナティブ・ミュージックやロック・ミュージックを追求した。[4]

2023年、インヘイラーはザ・ストロークスを「アイドル」と呼んだ。『Cuts & Bruises』をレコーディング中、バンドは『ザ・ビートルズ：ゲット・バック』を観ていた。[1]
