English: Dan Leno photographed circa 1901 by unknown photographer. Printed in and scanned from The Daily Mirror. November 1904, p. 1
Leno is shown in costume as the character Sister Anne from the pantomime Bluebeard, produced at the Theatre Royal, Drury Lane, which opened in London at Christmas 1901. The photo was published after Leno's death in 1904.
The official publisher given on this photocard is the Rotary Photographic Co. of London, England, however, a prolific photographer for the company at that time was William Davey (1844 – 1925), who produced many promotional photographs of Leno often in character form. The author is not given on this card so this cannot be confirmed, thus author is still unknown. Rotary Photographic Co. closed for business in April, 1916
