解説Focke-Wulf Fw190A-8 after mishap at 2015 Omaka Airshow.jpg
English: Experienced New Zealand based Warbird Pilot - Frank Parker - did a polished handling demo in new build Focke-Wulf Fw190A-8 ZK-RFR Cn 990001, at the Classic Fighters Omaka Airshow on ‘Practice Day’ Friday 03Apr2105. A normal crosswind landing followed, which rapidly became a high-speed ground loop when the Stbd brake failed. The aircraft ‘swapped ends’ and departed the grass runway about 45 degrees to the left of runway heading, skidding backwards on its belly-mounted external fuel tank. Frank exited the aircraft safely, but the aircraft will require extensive repairs. Port side view of the damaged aircraft on the recovery trailer, with the broken propeller and Port side wheel strut visible. Apologies for some ‘heat haze’ in this image.
